The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer crowned another star baker during week 2 on Saturday night (25th March).

The four celebs competing in the famous Bake Off tent were reality queen Gemma Collins, comedian Tim Key, presenter AJ Odudu and actress Jesssica Hynes.

The first challenge saw judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood task the four stars with making sandwich cakes, and it was Spaced star Jessica who won them over with her ‘save the bees’ signature bake.

Next up was the technical challenge, this week involving a treacle tart with Stand Up To Cancer lattice pastry on the top.

While Gemma ended up in last place, AJ scored third place, Tim was second and Jessica once again surprised the judges with her baking skills, nabbing first place.

The final and most tricky bake was the showstopper, which this week was a choux pastry design based on their earliest childhood memory.

Gemma seemed determined to turn the day around in her favour, telling the cameras: “I'm getting that apron if it kills me.”

However, it all went a bit pear-shaped after she took the delicate pastry out of the oven too quickly, causing the whole thing to collapse.

“I can't bear to watch this any longer, it's agony,” Prue said.

Jessica chose to build a bonfire with her choux pastry, and while telly host AJ landed a coveted Hollywood Handshake, it was Jessica who received the illustrious title of Star Baker.

While the Years and Years star picked up the famous Celeb Bake Off apron, former TOWIE star Gemma didn’t go home too disappointed.

“Oh my god Paul Hollywood cuddled me,” she exclaimed. “I could feel his breath on me, it was just incredible. What a man”.

Next week, a new set of celebs will put their baking skills to the test, with Olympian Tom Daley, radio host Adele Roberts, actress Lucy Beaumont and actor David Morrissey.

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer continues on Saturday 1st April at 7:40pm on Channel 4.
