Strictly Come Dancing's Neil Jones engaged and expecting first baby

Strictly Come Dancing’s Neil Jones is expecting his first child with new fiancé Chyna Mills.

The dancer and Love Island star have been dating for seven months but have taken the next step in their relationship, with their first baby due in the autumn.

Confirming they were engaged in Hello! Magazine, Neil and Chyna also revealed she was 13 weeks pregnant and showed off her new bump in photoshoot.

Speaking about their engagement, she said: “After the baby news, we were on cloud nine- and now this. It still doesn’t feel real.”

Neil added: “I’d already planned to ask Chyna to marry me before we knew she was pregnant. Then we found out and I was like, ‘Oh, this is brilliant, everything is coming together’.”

Chyna also said: “At first, I thought he was joking because we play joked on each other all the time. Then Neil was like, ‘Chyna, so is it a yes or no?’, because a few minutes had passed and he was still on one knee. I was like…yeah!”.

Professional dancer Neil had managed to keep the proposal plans secret but revealed he did confide in Strictly alum and TV presenter Tyler West, who was one of the first to find out about the news.

Neil explained: “We FaceTimed him and said ‘We just sent you something on WhatsApp’- it was a picture of the baby scan. He looked and said ‘I’m going to cry, this is everything…I’m gonna be that crazy Jamaican uncle’. It was the best reaction.”

Apparently, Chyna caught Neil’s eye when he watched her season of Love Island while on the Strictly Tour and the pair connected after she left the villa.

They aren’t the only Strictly couple celebrating good news either, as professional dancers Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec announced they were also expecting a baby last month.
