Samuel L. Jackson stuns fans with surprise appearance at Bongo’s Bingo in Glasgow

Samuel L. Jackson certainly turned some heads when he arrived at a local club night in Glasgow over the weekend. 

The Marvel star made a surprise appearance during Bongo’s Bingo at SWG3 on Saturday night (1st April) and enjoyed all the night had to offer, including bingo, audience games and some pretty wild dance offs too. 

In social media footage of Jackson enjoying a drag act, the actor was spotted beaming while filming some of the show on his phone. 

The shocking guest appearance certainly had Bongo’s Bingos revellers talking, with many taking to social media to share their surprise at seeing the A-Lister enjoying the festivities. 

Sharing a photo of Jackson at the event, one Twitter user said: “My mum, my gran and my aunties went to bongos bingo and Samuel L Jackson is there?? Is that real? I knew he was in Glasgow but why of all things he went to bongos bingo in SWG3??”

Another commented: Ssamuel l jackson being at bongos bingo on april fools day is the hardest the simulation has been simulating in a while.”

A third wrote: “I need know why and how Samuel L Jackson ended up at bongos bingo this is amazing.”

It turns out Jackson is in Glasgow for his new thriller, Damaged, starring Vincent Cassel. According to Deadline, the movie is based on 'a Chicago detective who goes to Scotland after an emerging serial killer’s crimes match those that he investigated five years earlier, one of which was the crime scene of his murdered girlfriend'.

Kate Dickie (The Witch), Gianni Capaldi (A Day to Die) and John Hannah (The Mummy) also star.

Producer Roman Kopelevich said: "Love this project. We have been involved with it for several years and are proud to have attracted such an amazing cast and team. Can't wait to bring it to our partners in the distribution world."

It turns out that if you missed out on seeing Jackson at Bongo’s Bingo, you might have better luck trying to spot the star on a golf course

The Glass actor admitted he’s often adding clauses into his contracts to enjoy he’s allowed to enjoy a round of golf at least twice a week. 

He told CNN: "Generally, they either move me onto a golf course so I can play or join a club so I can play, and they have to let me play at least twice a week."

"I like golf because it's a perfect game for an only child like me... In this game, you get responsibility for everything you do bad, and you get all the credit for everything you do well."
