Margot Robbie gets a serious case of flat feet and finds herself in a spot of bother in The Real World in the upcoming new Barbie movie.

With a couple of teasers having already been released, the main trailer for the hotly-anticipated film has landed, showing more of the antics that Robbie’s titular character and Ryan Gosling’s Ken get up to.

The trailer begins with Barbie’s perfect life. She lives in a dream house and hosts super cool parties. “It is the best day ever, and so was yesterday, and so is tomorrow and every day from now until forever,” she ethuses.

However, in the middle of a choreographed dance routine, she asks her Barbie pals: “Do you guys ever think about dying?”

Unusual things then start to happen to her. She falls off her roof rather than floating down, and later discovers that her heels “are on the ground” much to the disgust of her pals.

She ends up leaving Barbie Land and going to the real world to “know the truth about the universe”. And Ken is along for the ride. The trailer suggests that things don’t quite go to plan, as we see the pair having their fingerprints taken at a police station, and then running away from Mattel's CEO, played by Will Ferrell.

Have a look at the hilarious new trailer here:

As well as Robbie, Gosling and Ferrell, the movie features Michael Cera as Allan, Simu Liu as a different version of Ken, Issa Rae as President Barbie, and The Crown's Emerald Fennell as Midge.

The cast also includes America Ferrera from Superstore, and Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa and Connor Swindells, all of whom are known from Sex Education.

Barbie is directed by Greta Gerwig, who also wrote the movie with her partner Noah Baumbach.

“If you love Barbie, this movie is for you. If you hate Barbie, this movie is for you”, the trailer says. Seems like there’s something for everyone then!

Barbie hits cinemas on 21st July.
