Who was the last celebrity to be eliminated from the third heat of the competition?

Warning: spoilers ahead.

Two more famous faces are through to the Celebrity MasterChef semi-final, and five are yet to battle it out in the final heats next week, but who will be victorious?

During the quarter-final, Rudimental DJ Locksmith, singer Jamelia, and Wynne Evans, the face (and voice) of Go Compare, tried to impress Gregg Wallace and John Torode with their fancy two-course meals.

They also had to cook for three guest judges who have previously appeared on the show, including TV personality Rylan, presenter Andi Peters, and Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison.

In last night’s episode (Friday 18th August), Torode was amazed by Evans who “put himself under pressure” to make seared scallops with cockled popcorn and faggots in a red wine gravy.

Jamelia cooked a shrimp boil that the whole panel enjoyed, but this could not be said for her chocolate pudding, which Wallace believed to be “too sweet”.

Locksmith presented the panel with turbot, an expensive fish known for its subtle salty taste, before giving them a chocolate fondant with rum and lime Chantilly cream.

Although the judges were impressed with Locksmith's cooking, his dishes were incomplete as he failed to make some of the accompanying elements that he promised to, such as capers and peanut brittle.

As of result of this, the DJ was the third celebrity to be sent home from the competition this week, following his former opponents Drag Race star Cheryl Hole and 80s pop star Sam Fox.

When asked about his elimination, he shared: “There is a hint of disappointment because there [are] certain things that I knew I could have done slightly better.

"Yeah I just couldn't unlock this door, no pun intended haha.”

After being told they were through to the semi-final, Jamelia and Evans jumped around the kitchen as they hugged and congratulated each other.

"Being a MasterChef semi-finalist is just beyond my dreams,” Evans said. “I’m just thrilled and I’m so thrilled for Jameilia because she just cooks from her heart and I absolutely love it.”

Jamelia added: “I think I’m just in disbelief. I’m gonna celebrate, I’m gonna have a fizzy drink because I’m still breastfeeding. And maybe a cake.”

Next week is the final week of the heats, and Strictly Come Dancing pro Dianne Buswell, Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh, Black Eyed Peas rapper Apl.de.ap, actor Michael Praed, and Love Island’s Luca Bish will be taking to the kitchen.

They will be hoping to join the celebrities who are already through to the semi-final, including Jamelia, Wynne Evans, Gogglebox star Mica Ven, The Wanted’s Max George, and comedians Shazia Mirza and Marcus Brigstocke.

Celebrity Masterchef continues at 9pm on Tuesday 22nd August on BBC One.
