Another celebrity has been announced for the upcoming series of Dancing on Ice.

Comedian and writer Lou Sanders is the eighth star to be confirmed, and the third to be revealed today (3rd October) following the announcements of Googlebox’s Stephen Lustig-Webb and Made in Chelsea’s Miles Nazaire.

Speaking about joining the competition, Lou said: “I’m nervous about cracking my head open, or just bashing the old head. I can’t afford to lose any more brain cells. I’m also worried about my partner picking me up, he’s going to have to be very strong and very brave.”

The official Dancing on Ice X account (formerly Twitter) shared the news, writing: “Training to skate is no joke, but comedian Lou Sanders hopes to keep us laughing as she takes to the ice in January ⛸️ #DancingOnIce”

Stand-up star Lou was the winner of the eighth series of Taskmaster in 2019. She has also appeared on shows such as QI, Would I Lie to You? and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Along with Miles Nazaire and Stephen, comedian Lou joins the previously announced World Champion Boxer Ricky Hatton MBE, actress Claire Sweeney, actress and singer Hannah Spearritt, West End star Amber Davies and Olympic Champion and presenter Greg Rutherford MBE.

There are still four more celebs to be named in the line-up, as the full cast will total 12 contestants, who will do their best to stay on their feet and impress the judges and viewers at home.

Dancing on Ice returns to ITV and ITVX in 2024.
