The Peaky Blinders star shocks fans with unseen wedding photos and a gruesome, 'anatomically correct' wedding cake.

Peaky Blinders sensation Anya Taylor-Joy caused a sensation across social media by unveiling her clandestine wedding to musician Malcolm McRae, from over two years ago, complete with an eccentric celebration and a macabre wedding cake.

In an Instagram post, the actress shared snapshots from their offbeat New Orleans nuptials, which took place on April Fool's Day.

Among the whimsical details were cakes shaped like anatomically correct human hearts, submerged in pools of faux blood.

Reflecting on the enchanting day, Taylor-Joy gushed: "The magic of that day is ingrained in every cell of my being, forever."

Addressing her beloved, she added: "Happy second (first) anniversary, my love... you're the coolest. N.B yes, those are anatomically correct heart cakes. Yes, I am the vampire Lestat."

She added that her Dior wedding dress, adorned with hummingbirds and thistles, was 'beautifully embroidered with our love story.'

The affair boasted an A-list guest list, with model and actress Cara Delevingne spotted among the attendees.

A glimpse into the festivities revealed an ambiance adorned with flickering candles, adding to the mystique of the occasion.

McRae, frontman of the rock band More, reciprocated the sentiment with his own heartfelt message, professing eternal love and affection for his bride.

He wrote: "I love you now and somehow I always have and somehow it will never end. Happy two year anniversary (yesterday), beautiful."

While rumours initially swirled about their marriage following an Italian celebration in Venice back in October 2023, the recent revelation confirms that the couple exchanged vows in the atmospheric setting of New Orleans.

Taylor-Joy has been notably private about her relationship with McRae, preferring to keep their romance out of the limelight.
