Neighbours reveals when Susan Kennedy is coming back after three months away

SPOILER ALERT: Ramsay Street's OG resident Susan Kennedy may have been missing from the small screen for what seems like an eternity, but the good news is she's on her way back to where she belongs.

The Aussie favourite (played by Jackie Woodburne) was last seen on the soap in late December carrying out celebrant duties at Elly Conway and Chloe Brennan's wedding. She then headed off to Sydney to look after Aster while the newly-weds were away.

Now, soap bosses have delighted fans and shared details of her return to Erinsborough following an extended break from the much-loved programme.

Fortunately for Karl, she'll be back next week to help the resident doctor-turned-wellness-expert through an ego-bashing crisis involving him and a defaced billboard.

Will his public mockery in full swing, Susan arrives home just in time to support her beloved through the PR nightmare.

To make matters worse and with a little encouragement from Paul Robinson, Terese offers Susan the post as Operations Manager at Eirini Rising - which means she'll be her husband's boss if she accepts the offer. What could go wrong?

Karl, aka Alan Fletcher, spoke to our Chris Evans previously about fans' reaction to the end of the soap after 37 years. The actor explained: “I can't begin to tell you the outpouring of grief. Neighbours isn't a TV show. It's part of people's lives.

"They talk about the fact they sit down and watch it with their mum, their grandma, they've been watching it since I was three years old, that sort of thing. So it’s a way of life. So they were genuinely gutted.”

On Amazon Freevee resurrecting the hit show, he said: “Can you imagine what it was like when my boss turned up? He said he wanted to give me a picture.

"He said, ‘Can I come to your place and give you a picture?’. So he turns up, sits down and says ‘We're back!’. I could not have believed it. I fell off my chair, then I stood up and said, ‘I'm with you. I'm on’."
