Strictly Come Dancing pros Gorka Marquez, Graziano Di Prima and Nancy Xu paid tribute to the show’s late star Robin Windsor during an appearance on Loose Women today (19th April).

The Strictly stars - who will soon be going on tour along with the rest of the Strictly professional dancers - revealed their tour performances will pay tribute to the “wonderful” Windsor after his sudden death in February this year.

Remembering the dancer, Marquez shared: “He was just a wonderful person. He was always smiling.”

During the trio’s Loose Women appearance, Gorka also confirmed that Strictly Come Dancing - The Professionals would celebrate their friend and former dancing partner’s life, and opened up about how Windsor has been on his mind during recent rehearsals.

“I have memories of him smiling when it comes to the show, it was positive things for all of us. The least we can do is celebrate him because wherever he is up there, he will be dancing with us,” he told the studio audience.

“I've got beautiful memories of him,” he continued. “We did a tour together, we did lifts and stuff and sometimes you're in pain. He would always be the last person to leave the room, even if he was in so much pain.

“Surprisingly enough [when] I did my tour, one of my shirts was his pink shirt and in it was written 'Robin', Every time I was wearing it I had goosebumps. That was a nice, nice memory. I am always thinking of him," he added.

After Windsor’s death earlier this year, his family released an emotional statement thanking fans for their “outpouring of love and celebration” for the star.

Many tributes were shared by stars who knew the dancer well, such as Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood, who penned on X (formerly Twitter): “I have just heard the tragic news my dear friend ’Bobby’ Robin Windsor has passed.

“He was one of the kindest, gentle, honest, funny and caring people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and working with. He will be forever missed. My heart goes out to all his family & friends. RIP darling man, you were truly loved x”
