ITV are rumoured to be bring a British institution of a cooking show with a Hell of a revival, after 15 years of being shut down.
Hold onto your aprons, culinary enthusiasts, because rumour has it that one of the most explosive cooking shows of all time might be making a sizzling comeback!
Yes, you guessed it—Hell's Kitchen, the show that brought us iconic phrases like 'Idiot Sandwich' and 'It’s raaaaaaaw,' could be returning to our screens after 15 years!
For those of you who haven't been following the drama in the kitchen, let's catch you up to speed.
Kitchen Nightmares star Gordon Ramsay, renowned for his fiery temper and impeccable taste buds, first graced our screens in the UK edition of Hell's Kitchen back in 2004.
After a tumultuous run that had us all on the edge of our seats, he passed the spatula to other celebrity chefs like Gary Rhodes, Jean-Christophe Novelli and even his former employer Marco Pierre White.
The Traitors’ Claudia Winkleman also presented the programme when it was last on our screens, while one year after Gordon left the UK series, he started the long-running American programme, which has gone on for 22 seasons.
The show then took then ended in 2009.
But fear not, Ramsay fans, because whispers in the culinary world suggest that our favorite TV chef might be reclaiming his spot at the helm of Hell's Kitchen.
Yes, you heard that right—Gordon Ramsay could be returning to the show that made him a household name!
An insider spoke to The Sun, saying: "Early conversations are happening, and ITV are very excited about the prospect of it returning."
And with the show's massive global following, broadcasted to around 100 countries, the anticipation is reaching a boiling point!
The source continued: "It is one of Gordon’s biggest shows around the world by miles," before noting that, "The real hurdle for him will be fitting it in among his other commitments, but everyone seems thrilled at the mere idea.’
The rumours come after Gordon Ramsay’s BBC cooking show was axed after just two seasons.
It was confirmed last year that Future Food Stars wouldn’t be returning for a third season, weeks after claims Gordon’s ITV show Next Level Chef was also canned due to failing to attract viewers.
While talks are still in the early stages and the new host remains a mystery, one thing's for sure—Gordon Ramsay has some serious kitchen chaos up his sleeve, and we can't wait to see what he cooks up next!
But before you dust off your chef's hat and apron, let's not get too ahead of ourselves.
In the meantime, we'll keep our fingers crossed and our pots on the boil, eagerly awaiting any news of Hell's Kitchen's triumphant return.
After all, in the world of cooking competitions, no one serves up drama quite like Gordon Ramsay!
Hell’s Kitchen is available to watch on ITVX.
