What is The Jetty about?

The series one narrative revolves around a fire at a boat house. When Detective Ember Manning investigates it, she finds that it is connected to a podcast journalist looking into a missing person's cold case, and an illicit love triangle between a man in his 20s and two underage girls.

It’s safe to say that the further Ember gets with her investigation, the more her own past catches up with her.

If you want to read more about what happened in the tense and thrilling series, then you can catch up with the twists in episode one and episode two, as well as the cliffhanger in the third instalment, and find out how series one ended here.

Will there be a series 2 of The Jetty?

At this stage, the BBC has not announced whether there will be a second series of The Jetty.

Fingers crossed we’ll hear some positive news soon!

What will happen in The Jetty series 2?

If the second series of The Jetty comes to fruition, it may focus on the fallout from the shocking revelations at end of the first series, regarding what happened to Amy, and who was responsible for the murder of Riz.

It could also see Ember investigating another case in her home town.

However, given that the second series has yet to be confirmed, at the moment we can merely speculate as to what may go down if the story continues.

Who will be in The Jetty series 2?

If The Jetty does return for more, we can probably assume that lead actor Jenna Coleman will reprise her role as Ember Manning.

The actor received praise from fans for her performance in series one, and she described the character as “prickly, stubborn, proud and free-willed,” as well as being “very warm and loyal.”

Jenna added: “I also think she’s really funny.”

We may also see the return of her sidekick Hitch (Archie Renaux), as well as Ruby Stokes as Ember's teenage daughter, Hannah.

Ember's mum, Sylvia, played by I’m Alan Partridge star Amelia Bullmore could be back too.

Again, we will just have to wait for news from the BBC.

Is there a trailer for The Jetty series 2?

Hold your horses.

The series hasn’t even been commissioned yet, so it would be a while before production started on it, let alone a trailer being available, if it is given a green light.

Here’s the trailer to season one, to remind you what has already gone down.
