Robert Pattinson and Jennifer Lawrence rumoured for roles in Martin Scorsese produced film

Robert Pattinson and Jennifer Lawrence are reportedly set to star together in an upcoming thriller film produced by Martin Scorsese.

According to Deadline sources, Pattinson “is in negotiations” to star alongside Lawrence in the upcoming Lynne Ramsay film: Die, My Love.

Described as taking place in a remote forgotten rural area, the story will follow "a mother who struggles to maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis", the publication reports.

Ramsay will direct the film, which she has co-written along with Enda Walsh. Producing the film are Justin Ciarrocchi and Jennifer Lawrence, under their Excellent Cadaver banner, plus Martin Scorsese and Andrea Calderwood.

Pattinson has recently starred in several blockbuster films including Christopher Nolan’s Tenet in 2020, Matt Reeves’ The Batman in 2022 and as the voice of The Grey Heron in the English dub of Studio Ghibli’s Hayao Miyazaki’s The Boy and the Heron in 2023.

His turn in Parasite director Bong Joon-ho’s next feature, Mickey 17, is set for released in cinemas in January 2025.

Lawrence meanwhile has recently starred on our screens in films Netflix's 2021 climate-focused film Don’t Look Up, 2022’s Causeway and 2023’s raunchy comedy No Hard Feelings, the latter two of which she also worked on as a producer.

The Hunger Games star also recently produced the 2023 documentary Bread and Roses, which focuses on the stories of three women living life in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan. This film was released on Apple TV+ in June 2024.
