A new dramedy is on its way, starring Vince Vaughn, and developed and executive produced by Bill Lawrence, who is the creator of Scrubs and the co-creator of Ted Lasso.

Bad Monkey is an adaptation of the 2013 New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Carl Hiaasen.

The narrative focuses on Andrew Yancy (Vaughn), a former police detective who has been reduced to conducting restaurant inspections in Southern Florida. However, a severed arm found by a tourist pulls him into the world of greed and corruption in both Florida and the Bahamas.

The ensemble cast also includes L. Scott Caldwell, Natalie Martinez, Alex Moffat, and Ronald Peet.

Meanwhile, guest stars through the series include Zach Braff of Scrubs fame, and John Ortiz from Fast & Furious.

The ten-part series is set to land on Apple TV+ next month, with episodes arriving weekly after the first two instalments premiere on 14th August.
