A former TV presenting legend is returning to our screens to guest-host Good Morning Britain, almost 15 years on from when her eponymous talk show was axed.
Trisha Goddard, the former star of Trisha on ITV and Channel 5, will be hosting the ITV morning show twice next week.
Goddard’s return to morning TV hosting comes after the former Play School host and current TalkTV star opened up earlier this year that her cancer has returned.

The beloved star was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008, for which she received treatment for and was cured.
However, speaking with Hello! magazine in February 2024 she revealed that in 2022 she had been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and that it had spread to her bones.
Trisha described the cancer as treatable but not curable, and expressed how she feared the press reporting she was “dying”, “terminal” or “battling” the illness as soon as the news got out.
“My worry is that people will start seeing me as a frail little thing, and that if [the news] got out, I'd be judged, or people would change the way they are with me, or that I wouldn't work,” she said.
“I'm a journalist; I don't want to be 'the story'. I don't want to be interviewing someone and for them to say to me: 'I'm so sorry.'"
As a result, coming out with her news was a difficult process for Goddard. Confronting the news honestly in her interview, she shared: “It's not going to go away. And with that knowledge comes grief, and fear. But I must keep enjoying what I have always enjoyed.
“I can't lie; I can't keep making up stories. It gets to a stage, after a year and a half, when keeping a secret becomes more of a burden than anything else. I'm nervous. But it needed to be done,” she finished.
Goddard recently appeared on Virgin Radio My Pride Playlist, and spoke with Steve Denyer about what she’s learnt from her youngest child, who is non-binary.
“As a parent, I am still learning,” she admitted, reflecting how she learnt a lot as she accompanied her child on their journey “through being bullied” to settling in their queer identity.
“Their sister and I are still learning,” she continued. “Often I slip up, [but] they have gone from being cross with me to being understanding that I’m doing my best - as long as I am doing my best."
