Think you can beat Angela Scanlon and Tom Allen at Virgin Radio’s Beat the Intro?

The two Virgin Radio UK weekend show hosts got together recently to see how they would get on with the challenge, with “impressive” results.

After asking Alexa to let them play Virgin Radio’s Beat the Intro game, the radio show hosts were given a Grease-related challenge by Virgin Radio’s own Steve Denyer.

The pair immediately recognised the track, and despite momentarily confusing John Travolta and Patrick Swayze, Angela and Tom correctly gave Alexa the answer to what the song was, and who was singing.

Well done team!

To get involved with Virgin Radio’s Beat the Intro, all you need is an Alexa and an equally savvy knowledge of music’s greatest hits.

To play, simply say: “Alexa, play Virgin Radio’s Beat The Intro” and then get ready to have your music knowledge tested as Alexa plays you three songs.

To Beat the Intro just like Angela and Tom, players must correctly identify the name of each track, plus the artist who sing them.

But don’t be afraid of making some wild guesses, either, as it’s just the taking part which counts towards our £5k prize competition, and not getting all the correct answers!
