Frasier season 2 trailer shows beloved character return to Seattle

The trailer for season two of the Frasier revival has landed with a first look at the beloved titular character in a new phase of life. 

Kelsey Grammer returns as Frasier Crane in the reboot series, which shows him coming back to Boston after the death of his father, Martin, the end of his relationship with Charlotte and the cancellation of his Chicago television show. 

In the new trailer for season two, things get nostalgic as we see Frasier heading back to where it all began in Seattle and the KACL radio show.

In one scene, Frasier sits in the chair at KACL, where he took calls as part of his psychiatrist talk show during the show’s original run, and delivers the iconic line: “This is Dr. Frasier Crane. I’m listening.”

Speaking about his character going back to his roots, Grammar actually found the whole thing a bit emotional. 

“At first, I was like, this is just a set, nothing was really happening to me. But that was before I sat down in that chair," he told USA Today as he choked back tears.

The trailer also stars Dan Butler and Edward Brissett, who reprise their roles as radio hosts Bob ‘Bulldog’ Briscoe and Gil Chesterton. 

Along with Grammer, Butler and Brissett,  the series stars Jack Cutmore-Scott, Nicholas Lyndhurst, Toks Olagundoye, Jess Salgueiro, and Anders Keith. Additional guest stars this season include Peri Gilpin, returning as Roz Doyle, as well as Rachel Bloom, Yvette Nicole Brown, Greer Grammer, Patricia Heaton, Harriet Sansom Harris, and Amy Sedaris.

The first season of the revival was a huge success, and the show recently picked up three Emmy nominations - so season two has a lot to live up to. 

Season 2 of the Frasier revival premieres via Paramount+ on Sept. 19 with a double episode.
