We can hear the wedding bells already as Married at First Sight UK 2024 has officially been given a start date.

E4 has confirmed that the beloved reality series - in which a plethora of singletons tie the knot with a complete stranger - will be back on Monday 16th September from 9pm.

The news was shared on the official MAFS UK Instagram, which read: “Put it in the group chat #MAFSUK is back!” with an image of a reminder of the upcoming start date.

MAFS UK 2024 will feature eight new couples, who are ready to make the ultimate commitment to a complete stranger, and this year’s single pringles include a dog walker, a former clown and Married at First Sight UK’s first deaf contestant.

As with every year on Married at First Sight UK, after the wedding ceremony has ended, the new couple will have to put their love to the test by going on honeymoon, as well as living together AND with their fellow newlyweds.

Across the process, the couples will be matched and guided by experts Melanie Schilling, Paul C. Brunson and Charlene Douglas.

There’s already been a rather dramatic debut for one couple, as the first wedding ceremony includes a prank that has the potential to go very, very wrong.

The first couple of 2024 are dog walker Kristina from East Sussex and Newcastle mechanic Kieran, and their nuptials are thrown into chaos mere minutes into the wedding.

“I deserve unconditional love. I’m not settling for anything less,” a determined Kristina says before making her way to the ceremony.

In the footage, Geordie Kieran wants to prove his new wife would be fun by popping in a pair of gross false teeth as she’s walking down the aisle.

He says in his confessional: "I think the teeth could make us look a little bit immature. I'm a little bit nervous to see how it goes.”

The bold move doesn’t exactly go down well with Kristina, who reaches the top of the aisle to see her soon-to-be groom grinning ear-to-ear with his prank teeth in.

“These teeth, what the f***?” Kristina exclaims while trying to contain her shock.

As with previous series, the finale will see the remaining couples make the massive decision to either stay together or part ways during the vow renewals.

Married at First Sight UK returns to E4 on 16th September at 9pm.
