Clarkson’s Farm’s success story has inspired a new show from another favourite face.

Reportedly, Noel Edmonds is set to make a TV comeback with a series based around his life running his 11-hectare estate in New Zealand.

According to The Sun, the Noel’s House Party star is hoping to replicate Clarkson’s successful series with his own take on the celebrity farming genre, which is provisionally being titled ‘Noel’s Haven’.

Sources say the former Deal or No Deal host has signed a £1 million deal with ITV for a 3-part first series, after what was reportedly a “frenzied” bidding war for ownership of the show.

Noel’s new series will focus on the star’s care of his River Haven vineyards, his work at the 17th century pub that he owns in the area, and his running of a “positivity” radio station for plants and pets.

“Noel’s incredible – and very eccentric – life is going to make TV gold,” a source told The Sun. “New Zealand is still struggling with the after-effects of their draconian lockdown laws and execs are hoping that Noel will do for tourism what Jeremy has for British farming.

“For his part, Noel would like the world to know he hasn’t retired, and this chapter of his life is a new adventure,” they added. “There was a feeding frenzy from production companies to secure the rights, and everyone knows this could be a huge comeback for Noel.”

Noel was last seen on TV in the UK when he was a contestant on 2018’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here. The entertainer finished in 11th place after becoming the first contestant to be voted out by the public.

Prime Video’s success with Clarkson’s Farm has led to the streamer renewing that show for a fourth season – and if Clarkson gets his way – likely a fifth as well.

Recently, the former Top Gear host praised how working on the show with many of the same crew as he worked with on The Grand Tour has helped make saying goodbye to the latter show an easier experience.

“Where I would have been emotional was saying goodbye to the crew because most of them started with us,” he said. “[But] there I was with all these guys that I've known and worked with for twenty-four years and I said, 'I’ll see you all on Monday morning' because they all work on Clarkson’s Farm.”
