Finals Week has begun, as we moved a step closer to finding out who will win Celebrity MasterChef 2024.

The five contestants hoping to emerge victorious were Strictly’s Vito Coppola, Line of Duty’s Rochenda Sandall, Gladiator Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Ian ‘H’ Watkins from Steps and TV host Craig Doyle, but one of them has now been sent home after last night’s episode (17th September)..

The first brief of the week was to cook a dish inspired by a well-known chef, with the likes of Yotam Ottolenghi, James Martin and Heston Blumenthal being chosen.

Having tasted all of the offerings, judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace decided that the Celebrity MasterChef journey was over for H.

Appropriately, the singer led the rest of the chefs and judges in the Tragedy dance moves as he left the kitchen.

He said: “I’m absolutely amazed that I made it even this far. There was a little bit of me that would have loved to carry on, but I’m so proud of myself. I’ve learned so much.”

The remaining four didn’t have time to celebrate, as they had to take charge of lunch service aboard the iconic British Pullman train, which paved the way for luxury travel in the 1920s.

With head chef John Freeman having designed the menu for the 20 passengers on board, each star oversaw one course. All prep needed to be completed before the train set off, never mind the service itself, which saw the celebrities cook and plate their dishes in compact galley kitchens.

At the end of it, the four were left hoping that they’d done enough to make it to the final three.

Find out what happens next when the series continues on Thursday 19th September, at 8pm on BBC One.

Previously eliminated contestants from the four heats are: Christine McGuinness, Jamie MacDonald, Emma Thynn, Jake Quickenden, Chloe Burrows, Eshaan Akbar, Danielle Harold, Snoochie Shy, Charlotte Crosby and Edith Bowman.

Celebrity MasterChef continues on Thursday 19th September, at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
