Deadmau5 has claimed he is "partially responsible" for the 'death' of EDM music.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, he claimed the genre is "f*****" because of its commercialisation, which he has contributed to.

He said: "It's 85% crossed over,” he said. “It’s f*****, it’s not really grassroots anymore.

I’m partially responsible – I’ve done my part to commercialise it. Oversaturation."

The record producer recently slammed his own album, calling it rushed because he had bills to pay.
