5 facts about the Manics' Sean Moore

He's a guy that takes a backseat when it comes to press but takes a front seat when it comes to his contribution to the band. 

Sean turns the big 50 today (July 30th) and here's 5 facts about the silent drummer. 

1. He's James Dean Bradfield's cousin. 

When it comes to familly there's no better way to spend time with them than to starts a band. Sean was also born just down the road from his frontman brother in Blackwood, Wales. 

2.Sean's not only a great drummer he is also a highly talented Trumpeter. 

Sean played the trumpet on several tracks by the manics, most famously check out the trumpet solo on 'Kevin Carter': 

4. It's not all about rock n' roll.. Sean is a classically trained musician

Sean's classical talents made him the youngest-ever trumpet player in the 'South Wales Jazz Orchestra'. He's also a dab hand at the clarinet. 

5. He's 'quite' active on twitter... 

Despite being absent when it comes to interviews, Moore is active on twitter. He interacts witb fans by replying and retweeting their tweets.
