Rare footage of New Order performing in 1981 has been released. The band shared the video of them performing 'Ceremony', their classic debut single. The archive footage sees the band playing at Manchester's CoManCHE Student Union back on February 6th 1981. It comes as the group have been raiding the archives ahead of the reissue of their infamous album, 'Movement'. 'Ceremony' didn't appear on the 'Movement' record, but it was their debut single under the name of New Order, after previously writing it as Joy Division before frontman Ian Curtis passed away.
'Movement' is set to be a must-have for any New Order fan, packed full of bonus and rarely-heard demos, live performances and unreleased music on vinyl and CD. The reissue will be released on April 5th.
