Noel Gallagher has said that he wants to start a petition to break Foo Fighters up after Dave Grohl’s pleas for Oasis to reunite.
The news follows from the band’s headline set at Reading Festival last weekend, where Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins told fans that they wanted to start a petition to get Oasis back together again. Taylor Hawkins’ drum kit could be seen with a picture of the Gallagher brothers printed onto the front.
Dave Grohl asked the audience “How many people wanna see Oasis f***ing play a show?”
At a gig in San Diego, California, Noel Gallagher drew attention to the Foo Fighter’s stunt, saying to the crowd “I’d like to start a petition to get Foo Fighters to split up.”
Oasis celebrated the 25th anniversary of their landmark debut album ‘Definitely, Maybe’ on Thursday, they released a limited edition reissue vinyl the following day.
