The singer-songwriter has been linked to the idea of providing the Bond theme for the highly anticipated new James Bond film, titled ‘No Time To Die’.
‘No Time To Die’ will be Daniel Craig’s final outing as the infamous ‘007’.
Speaking to Music Week, Ed Sheeran’s manager, Stuart Camp, stated that the pair had already met the producer Barbara Broccoli in Dublin two years ago. According to Sheeran’s manager the producer’s “interest” was expressed.
“We’re still open to it, but they’re not even having those conversations yet” said Stuart Camp.
According to Sheeran’s manager, the singer-songwriter still asks him about the opportunity “every day”. Stuart Camp describes the opportunity to perform the Bond song as “a box that’s still to be ticked, for sure.”
Now that Ed Sheeran has announced his 18-month extended break, perhaps he’ll have plenty of time on his hands to write the new Bond tune.
