Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien releases new solo song – ‘Santa Teresa’

‘Santa Teresa’ is the first official preview of Ed O’Brien’s upcoming debit album

The Radiohead guitarist initially teased his new material last week under the name 'EOB'.

Back in April it was previously stated by Ed O’Brien that he hoped to release his first record by September.

In a recent tweet, he said: “this is the sound of Santa Teresa…with songs to come soon.”

Earier on in the year Ed O’Brien told that his debut album would see him working with alternative rock producer Flood (U2, Nine Inch Nails, Gary Numan) and Catherine Marks (Wolf Alice).

Ed O’Brien has expressed his interest in releasing a debut album ever since 2016, and in 2017 he further revealed that the record was going to be inspired by Brazil Carnival and being in the countryside.

After the release of Radiohead’s last studio album ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’, there has been some talk surrounding what the band will do next. According to Ed O’Brien, the band have “got some stuff that we were talking about.”
