Tuppence Middleton - the actress with the most lady-like name in Hollywood - joined the Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky earlier to talk about what it’s like working with movie heavyweight Gary Oldman and still getting nervous on set.
Starring alongside Amanda Seyfried and Lily Collins, she told Chris about her work colleague Gary: “It was a dream. It was one of those ‘pinch me’ jobs. I remember getting the phone call that I'd got the part and I couldn't quite believe my luck.
“Gary is really one of the nicest men in showbiz. I think he set the tone, so he made everyone feel really comfortable and he's actually really silly so there was a lot of larking around between takes and he really loves limericks, so we made up a lot of them.”
She said she doesn’t mind hanging about on set and waiting because it keeps her relaxed.
She explained: “It's really strange… as an actor, you kind of rush around in the morning, everything has to be fast, fast, fast, quick, quick, quick and you're getting ready in the trailer and then suddenly you get there and you're there for an hour and a half just chatting, so it's nice.
“I find it quite relaxing because it’s quite a nerve-wracking profession and so when you can just sit and talk with other people going through the same thing, it's really calming."
And she's not the only one to feel the fear.
She added: “I think even when you're working with someone like Gary, or Charles Dance or David Fincher… it doesn't matter how many years you've been in the business or how many projects you've done, everyone still get nervous and that’s the nice thing you realise the more you work.”
