New Indiana Jones film confirmed with Harrison Ford set to return

This is a good day for old school classic movie returns and they couldn’t have come at a better time. First the news that Sister Act 3 is making a comeback - and now Harrison Ford fans are crying into their fedoras at the announcement that the crusader himself is set to return as Indiana Jones. 

The iconic actor will dust off his walking boots in the next offering of the much-loved franchise - but we'll have to wait a while until July 2022 to see Indiana Jones 5.

The official Disney Twitter account posted: “Lucasfilm is in pre-production on the next instalment of Indiana Jones.  

“At the helm is James @Mang0ld, director of Ford v Ferrari, and Indy himself, Harrison Ford, will be back to continue his iconic character’s journey.”

Fans commented in their droves delighted at the movie news, writing: “This is EXCITING!” and, “I’m all in for this!” plus, “Let’s go!”

Harrison has played Indiana Jones since 1981 and this is set to be the movie icon's last.
