Viewers of the epic Hollywood blockbuster Titanic have been left shocked by a deleted scene featuring Kathy Bates which was sensibly binned and will leave you gasping for different comedic reasons.

Twitter user SelfieMadeBoy posted an eye-popping clip from the movie featuring the Misery actress as Molly Brown in the 1997 movie.

The camera pans on to her in the dining room unaware of the iceberg behind her, casually summoning for a waiter.

She beckons: "Hey sonny! How about a little ice?" as the iceberg looms in the background.

Fans were left dumbfounded by the scene which was left on the cutting room floor.

One wrote: "Oh my God. James Cameron deserves life in prison for this.”

A user added: “Um, why would they cut this? This is an incredible scene! More Kathy Bates as Molly Brown, please!”

One remarked: “This is brilliant. I wonder what else they left on the cutting room floor, lol."

One wrote: "Someone was trying for comic relief, and they wisely left it out."

A fan added: "Someone put the Jaws or Halloween music on that lurking serial killer iceberg shot."

Others added: “I've never seen that before. Dark humour indeed. Love Kathy Bates,” and, “I know it’s a sad story but that scene on its own is very funny,” and, “No wonder it was deleted. But how have I NEVER seen this before?”

Another added: "The alternate ending is far more cringe although there was a great deleted scene of Rose panicking in her room before she attempts to take her life, great performance from Winslet."
