It's an undisputed fact that as a country, we're all mad for Nutella. It turns out that today (February 5th) is World Nutella Day. Who knew?

The makers have now revealed that we've been saying the name of the famous chocolate and hazelnut spread all wrong.

According to the team at Nutella, the emphasis should be put on the 'N' and 'OU' - making the correct pronunciation is tella.

Turns out 78 per cent of us have been saying it wrong. Apparently, we all say ella, but we're wrong.

A spokesperson for Nutella, Ferrero UK & Ireland, said: "As Nutella is enjoyed in every corner of the world, there has long been some fun debates on how it should be pronounced.

"Our Nutella team wanted to share how we pronounce the iconic spread's name. We emphasise the 'NOU' in 'NOU-tella', but we don't mind how our fans decide to pronounce it - the most important thing to us is that you enjoy it."

If you're a fan, how about trying a Nutella chicken masala? We know, it's unusual. To celebrate the day, Deliveroo has created the chocolatey curry, and it's only available until Sunday.

They teamed up with Indian restaurant chain Tamatanga to create the combination.

The dish is described as "chocolate-hazelnut spread along with pungent whole red chilli, spices, coconut milk, lime zest, garlic and coriander stems, coating deliciously tender chicken tikka pieces."

It's certainly unusual.

Aman Kular, Managing Director at Tamatanga said: "Our friend's at Deliveroo challenged us with creating a truly mouth-watering Nutella curry, and to our surprise, we were blown away by the results."

"For decades people have used nuts to make rich and creamy sauces, and many chefs will know you also experience a depth in food when you match chocolate with chilli."

"The flavours work so well together - the taste is incredible, you've got to try it to believe it."
