Tom Holland wants to be the next James Bond

He was a star as Spider-Man, but can you picture Tom Holland as the next James Bond?

The rumours of who will replace Daniel Craig have been doing the rounds for a while. Names that have been thrown into the ring include Cillian Murphy, Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, even Harry Styles was mentioned at one point. 

Now Tom Holland, the Marvel star, has expressed an interest. He would apparently love to play 007 in the films after 

The film has been delayed greatly by the Coronavirus pandemic, but the film is due to be Daniel's final stint as Bond.

In an interview for the  podcast, Tom was asked what role he love to play besides Spidey.

He said: "Ultimately as a young British lad who loves cinema, I'd love to be James Bond. So, y'know, I'm just putting that out there. I mean I look pretty good in a suit! I'd be like a really short James Bond."

Back in 2017 in an interview with  Tom said: "I actually want to brush up on my James Bond knowledge, because Sony release Spider-Man and Bond.

"I keep telling them I'm the next 007 - as a joke. But also as a kind of serious, 'C'mon guys, let's make this happen.'

"If I keep casually dropping it into interviews, it'll eventually happen."

He's going well so far! Stranger things have happened.

Tom has played Peter Parker/Spider-Man since the 2016 MCU film He regularly tops polls for the best Spider-Man actor.

Filming for the third solo film is underway. Tom will be rejoined by two other actors who played Spider-Man, with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield making an appearance.
