Sainsbury's have made jumbo 'pigs in beach towels' for summer

Pigs in blankets are for life, not just for Christmas. 

Sainsbury's have given the festive dinner must-have a makeover for summer.

Behold, pigs in beach towels!

They're bigger and better than ever, too, made of jumbo pork sausages wrapped in bacon.

These piggies are wrapped in chestnut smoked streaky bacon, they're bound to be a hit at BBQs. 

You can pick up a packet for £4.50.

Over the festive period last year, Sainsbury's sold over 20 million individual pigs in blankets.

If you're looking for a veggie option, how about new feta and spinach parcels (£2) or falafel balls (£2), or maybe even a sweet potato falafel option too (£2.50).

Keeping up with the BBQ theme, there are harissa lamb and chicken koftas, raw Chilli & Garlic Prawn Skewers or Tandoori Vegan Kebabs (£2.50).

It's not summer until you've had halloumi, so how about the new Halloumi & Vegetable Kebabs with Sweet Chilli Glaze? There are also Summer Edition Mexican Corn Fritters (£2.50).
