If you think you’re being far too productive at work today, then Google has come up with the ideal time-waster, which should see you through until home time.

You’ve checked your Facebook, your emails, and, sure, even done a little bit of work, but if you’re looking for some seriously fun procrastination, then all you have to do is type certain words into Google, and you’ll unlock a bunch of free games.

For instance, if you type “Pacman” into the search engine, it will bring up the classic arcade game. You can navigate around the maze using the arrow keys on your keyboard, trying to avoid the ghosts while chomping down the cherries.

And if you want to take on Google in a simple game of noughts and crosses, then just type “Tic Tac Toe” into Search.

Anyone who had a Nokia phone back in the day will recall spending about a billion hours playing Snake. Well, now you can do so again, just by typing “Snake” into Google. And yes, guiding the slippery fellow around the square is still as addictive as it ever was!

If you find yourself without an internet connection, there’s a game you can play then as well. Dino Runner has been created to entertain phone and laptop users when they don’t have Wi-Fi. All you need to do is load up Google Chrome and try to launch a webpage, which will then fail because you’re not online. Instead, you should see a “No internet” page with a blocky dinosaur at the top.

If you are on a laptop, just press the spacebar to activate the game. You can then play by tapping the spacebar to leap obstacles.

If you are playing on a mobile, then just tap the dinosaur and then press the screen to make them jump.

That should keep you busy for a while. And the good thing is, these games will have you tapping so furiously at your keyboard, that your boss will think you’re working really hard!
