Who doesn't love a good bedtime story?

Following in the footsteps of Tom Hardy, Dolly Parton and Sir Elton John, Hollywood A-Lister Reese Witherspoon is set to read a story.

The Oscar winner will read a book called 'Extraordinary!' by Penny Harrison.

The book talks about the special moments shared by family and friends.

Bedtime stories are broadcast every night on the channel, and some very famous faces have dropped in to read a story, much to the delight of parents too.

Reese says as she begins the story: "Sometimes, when we're busy, it can be hard to find time to notice the world around us. The things we see every day can seem a bit... ordinary.

"But if you stop, and look closer, you'll see that our world is extraordinary!"

Finishing the book, she tells viewers to look carefully at something the next day.

Reese instructs them to look at something that at first appears to be completely ordinary, because it could also be something special.

Witherspoon won the Oscar for best actress in 2005 for her role as June Carter Cash in Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line.

She ran her own production company Hello Sunshine, and sold it for a reported $900 million (£660 million) last summer.

Reese will read her bedtime story on 28 January at 6.50pm on BBC iPlayer and CBeebies.
