The Strictly Come Dancing professional took to Instagram to share the news.

Nikita Kuzmin has said he is “so sad” to be missing some of the Strictly Live Tour after testing positive for coronavirus.

Confirming the news on Instagram yesterday, the dance shared a snap of him and dance partner Tilly Ramsay, alongside a picture of him holding three positive lateral flow tests.

In the caption, he wrote: “So sad to be missing a portion of the Strictly Live Tour, but unfortunately I tested Positive for COVID-19.

“Lots of luck to all the amazing Strictly Cast. Will be back as soon as I can 😊.”

We’re not sure how long Nikita will have to miss the tour, but hopefully, it won’t be too much of a wait.

The very first show of the tour took place yesterday in Birmingham and will finish up in London on 13 February.

Dance partner Tilly took to the comments section on Nikita’s post to say: “Missing you”.

Fellow pro dancer Amy Dowden also wrote: “Missing you (pro group numbers) partner!!!! Rest up x.”

Finalist Johannes Radebe added: “Miss you darling x” and Dianne Buswell said: “sorry to hear xx”.

The Strictly Live Tour was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, and the professionals and celebrities are excited for it to get on the road again for a 33-show run.

The winner of last year’s show, Rose Ayling-Ellis, was the first deaf contestant to compete with her partner Giovanni Pernice, and now the tour will also include a British Sign Language Interpreter at every venue.
