The DOI skater and professional maraca shaker is thought to be moving into the acting world. According to sources, the musician and dancer has filmed a cameo for the Channel 4 soap and bosses were so impressed by his skills they want him to be a permanent fixture.

A soap insider told The Sun: “Hollyoaks bosses were genuinely surprised by how good Bez is on camera. There is belief the role could be expanded, leading to Bez becoming a regular star.

“He plays himself, but given it’s in soapland, there’s no reason why he can’t continue seemingly living his own life in the village.”

The star will pop up next month when Tony Hutchinson books him as a guest DJ for The Dog In The Pond’s club night where he will find himself in the middle of a to-do with the two rival bar owners.

The TV personality - otherwise known as Mark Berry - was forced to pull out of skating in the ITV show last weekend after testing positive for Coronavirus just before the competition.

Bez said about not being able to perform alongside professional partner Angela Egan: "I’ve had a positive test. I’m gutted because I’m going to be missing training but I’m looking forward to skating on the show again for week three and I’ll be tuning at home and cheering on my mates who are skating this weekend."

Showing off his Bambi legs on social media, he wrote: "How do everybody.

"As you can see I'm back on the ice and getting ready for Sunday's show for @dancingonice with @theangelaegan

"Check out my moves."
