We’re sure Spider-Man star Tom Holland isn’t short on film offers, but he might want to take this one up.
The Marvel actor recently revealed to LadBible that he once auditioned for a role in the Birmingham-based gangster drama, but he ‘did not get the part’.
On Thursday, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight attended the series six premiere of the series, and joined the rest of the cast including Finn Cole and Ada Shelby on the red carpet.
While speaking to PA news agency, Steven commented on Tom’s audition rejection, and said: “It must have been quite a big role he was auditioning for.”
All is not lost for Tom though, as Steven continued: “But if he wants to come back for the film, we’ll have him.”
Back in January 2021, PB fans went crazy when Steven confirmed the series will end with a film, which was something planned from the very beginning.
Someone call Tom’s agent - quick!
Meanwhile, fans will start saying their goodbyes to the notorious Shelby family when the final series begins on BBC One on Sunday night (27th February).
Of course, the last time we saw Tommy Shelby he had a gun pointed at his temple, and many fans have spent the last couple of years speculating who on earth the ‘Black Cat’ could be.
It is no surprise to hear, therefore, we are in for an explosive sixth and final season.
There will be no Game Of Thrones-style disappointment for fans here, as Finn Cole, who plays Michael Gray in the series, has promised fans will be satisfied with the ending.
In an interview for Metro, the actor revealed: “This story is so exciting and so full of energy that when I read the final page of the final episode, I was convinced that this is one of the best endings of a TV show I’ve seen for a very long time.”
We can hardly wait for Sunday to come around!
Peaky Blinders returns on Sunday February 27 at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
