Who wants a 'pizza' this? Pizza Express are adding wraps to their lunch menu

Lunchtime pizza trips have just become so much easier thanks to Pizza Express.

The Italian restaurant chain has just announced their new pizza wraps, perfect for lighter lunch options, and come in at under 600 calories too. 

There are five flavours to try out, including American Hot, Padana, Pollo Ad Astra, Sloppy Vegan and BBQ Burnt Ends. 

You can also bag any one of five side salads as part of the lunch bundle for £9.50, so you definitely won’t be going hungry. 

Salad choices include the Raw Slaw, Grains & Greens, Mixed Side Salad, Baby Caesar and Rucola.

In a statement, Jane Treasure, Food and Beverage Director at PizzaExpress, said: ‘We are so excited to be launching our delicious new lunchtime pizza wraps.

“Three years in the making, we’ve worked hard with our Pizzaiolos, testing different recipes and taking inspiration from our most popular pizzas and transformed them into beautiful pizza wraps perfectly complemented by fresh vibrant side salads.

“Lunch lovers will be able to enjoy the same great PizzaExpress taste, but at a lower price, wherever they choose to enjoy their lunch with us.”

Good news is that the wraps are now available nationwide, and you can grab one from Monday-Friday until 4pm. 

If you can’t get away from your desk, you can even get them delivered, or they’re available as a dine-in or collection option too. 

It’s been a busy few weeks for Pizza Express, as they also recently launched their rewards scheme and 'Bling Rings', meaning you could get free dough balls for life.

The Pizza Express Club has three tiers: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Diners earn Pizza Stamps in order to climb up through the tiers and unlock more rewards. Customers can gain stamps when they check in to pizzerias, or by scanning the QR codes on boxes when they takeaway, order a delivery, or when buying a supermarket pizza.

But what are the rewards? 

Well, if you are in the Bronze Tier, you can tuck into a free side dish every time you dine-in, and you’ll get a free dessert on your birthday. If you are in the Silver Tier, you can get a free soft drink when you dine-in, tea or coffee and Dough Balls every time you visit, plus a free classic pizza on your birthday.
