18 years since they last shared the screen together, Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo are back together.

The two first starred together in beloved rom-com 13 Going on 30 in 2004, and are now hitting the screen in Netflix’s sci-fi adventure The Adam Project.

13 Going on 30 follows Jennifer’s character Jenna Rink after she wishes to turn 30 while celebrating her 13th birthday, and magically wakes up the next day as an adult.

While promoting their new movie on Good Morning America, Mark and Jennifer discussed the idea of coming back for a 13 Going on 30 sequel.

When questioned about any potential follow-up movies, Mark replied: “Now would be a great time to make a sequel to 13 Going on 30,” while Jennifer added: "Yeah, we were thinking maybe 50 Going on 80."

Making a joke about the longevity of such an idea, Mark then said they could do another 10 years to do ‘65 Going On 90’ to ‘franchise the hell out of this’.

While we would love to see Jenna and Mark’s character Matt Flamhaf reunite on the big screen, something tells us those hopes and dreams might never come to fruition.

Meanwhile, Jennifer and Mark’s new movie, The Adam Project, sees Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds play time-travelling pilot Adam Reed from the year 2050, who accidentally crash-lands back in 2022.

He has to connect with his younger self and his late father in order to come to terms with his past while also saving the future.

Ryan Reynolds previously spoke about how aspects of the movie echo aspects of his own life, and his own struggles with grief, having lost his own father in 2020.

He told Vanity Fair:  “You have this central character who has told himself a story about his own father that isn’t necessarily true. I know that I’ve done that in my life.

“I’ve told myself stories to justify things about my father and my complicated relationship I had with him before he passed. Reconciling that is really difficult.”

The Adam Project will stream on Netflix from 11th March.
