With Easter not too far away, Tesco is getting in the mood by launching a new hot cross bun-themed café in London. However, if you fancy visiting it, you'll only have a week’s window to do so.

The pop-up café, which will be set-up in Shoreditch, East London, will open for one week from April 5th, and will offer a range of items based on hot crossed buns. Sounds amazing to us!

At the Tesco Hot Cross Bun Café, you’ll be able to order all manner of items, with many of them taking the hot cross bun to unexpected places. For instance, you could have a five-course fine dining menu, where it will be possible to order the likes of Steak Tartare or a vegan Hot Cross Bangers and Smash.

There are even cocktails available. So if you’ve ever wondered what a Hot Cross Bun Espresso Martini tastes like, you’ll soon be able to find out.

And for dessert? How about a hot cross bun ice cream sandwich?

The cafe will be open for bookings at various times, including for brunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

As reported by MyLondon, bookings for brunch, which takes place between 10am and 2pm, are £5 per child and £8 for adults. For this, you'll be able to choose one savoury and one sweet option, with either a hot drink, chocolate egg milkshake, or fruit juice.

Then, if you book between 3pm and 5pm, you can have a hot cross bun-themed afternoon tea, which will cost £5 for children and £10 for adults. This comes with a glass of prosecco or a mocktail, plus either tea, coffee, or a soft drink.

And, if you fancy an evening out at the Tesco Hot Cross Bun Café, then dinner is served between 7pm and 9pm. This time slot is for adults only, and will set you back £18 per person. Here, you can try the five-course tasting menu and three cocktails.

There are plant-based and gluten-free options available, and the café will be decked out with the theme of a spring garden, with plenty of aesthetically-pleasing places to get some snaps for your Instagram.

All proceeds from the café will go to Tesco’s charity partner, the Trussell Trust, and bookings can be made via OpenTable from tomorrow, Friday March 18th. And if you can’t get a reservation, then don't panic because a small number of tables will be kept aside at each session for walk-ups.

Oh, and if you can’t make it to London, then you’ll still be able to try the Hot Cross Bun Ice Cream Sandwich at Tesco in-store cafes across the UK between 4th and 17th April.
