It’s not often you spot Hollywood icons roaming around the aisles of your local shop, but for some lucky customers, they happened to bump into John Travolta himself.

The Pulp Fiction star made staff and shoppers in Norfolk do a double-take when he popped down the Fakenham store over the weekend.

John is reportedly in town shooting short film, The Shepherd, at nearby Raynham Hangar Studios, and made sure to stock up on the essentials and take some selfies with fans on the shop floor.

Security guard Gary Middleton told ITV news: "I didn't even go up to him, he just came up to me and shook my hand. We had a really nice chat.

“When I put it on my Facebook everyone said I was mucking around and they didn't believe it was true but it was."

The Morrisons trip wasn't the only place John has been spotted. He also stopped by the local Wetherspoons in the nearby town of Dereham last week. Seems even the big names love a good deal!

Local Jamie Salter bumped into the Face/Off star while down the pub chain, and told the Eastern Daily Press: “We were sat at another table at the Wetherspoons and a couple of staff members pointed him out. We didn't believe them, but I walked past and got a glimpse of him.

"I went over and said 'excuse me, sorry for disturbing your evening, I've just got a question: Is it John? I asked him what he was doing here because you wouldn't expect to see John Travolta in Dereham. They told me he was there for a week and filming at an old airstrip. They said they were filming a Christmas movie."

John’s unexpected arrival comes after he paid tribute to Pulp Fiction co-star Bruce Willis following news of his retirement following his Aphasia diagnosis.

In an Instagram post, the actor shared a photo of the two together, and wrote: “Bruce and I became good friends when we shared 2 of our biggest hits together, Pulp Fiction and Look Who’s Talking.

“Years later he said to me, ‘John, I just want you to know that when something good happens to you, I feel like it’s happening to me.’ That’s how generous a soul he is. I love you Bruce.”
