The biggest night in fashion took place in New York overnight (Monday 2nd May) and the UK and Ireland had some seriously stylish representation.

The theme of the 2022 event was Gilded Glamour, with a white tie dress code, so the bar was already set extremely high.

There were some stand out moments across the star-studded red carpet. Social media was buzzing with the arrival of reality star Kim Kardashian in the sparkling gold $5 million gown worn by Marilyn Monroe when she sang Happy Birthday to John F. Kennedy in 1962.

Hollywood actress Blake Lively stunned with an incredible pink dress, which transformed into a eye-catching blue garment midway down the red carpet.

Not to be outdone though, stars from across this side of the pond were there to make their mark on the first Monday of May, and they didn't disappoint!

The Crown star Emma Corrin went full Gilded Glamour in a stylish top hat and tailored black waistcoat, while model Cara Delevingne turned heads in a crimson military style jacket and metallic cane.

Among the fashionable couples on the night included newlyweds Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz-Beckham. The son of David and Victoria looked fresh in a white suit, while Nicola donned a billowing fuchsia gown.

Lily Allen teamed up with husband David Harbour on the night, with Lily opting for a multicoloured textured dress with soft feather detailing, while David looked the part in a top hat and tails.

There was a mini Game of Thrones reunion too, with Maisie Williams dressed in a corseted monochrome outfit, with her former GoT co-star Sophie Turner covered in black with glittering gold detailing.

Fresh off announcing his departure from The Late Late Show, James Corden stepped out in a black jacket and white bow tie, while Riz Ahmed decided to go a bit more casual with a blue shirt, white vest and long silver chain.

Bridgerton stars Simone Ashley and Nicola Coughlan exuded real royalty on the night. Simone chose a shimmering gold crop top paired with a classic black skirt, while Nicola stunned in an eye-catching soft pink gown with bold sleeves and black train.

They were joined by fellow period drama co-star Phoebe Dynevor, who also followed suit with a black lace design, while Normal People actress Daisy Edgar-Jones turned heads in a glittering chain-mail inspired gown.

Actress Jessie Buckley certainly caught attention with her classic pinstripe suit. She paired the vintage style with a fake moustache and wide brimmed hat, while rapper Stormzy shone in a crisp white caped ensemble.
