Sniff! Neighbours releases final ever cast photo

Remember them this way.

With much loved Aussie soap Neighbours set to wrap this August after 37-years, the show has shared its final promotional shot ever - sob, cry - on social media.

Okay then...

But whatever happens the last time we catch up with the residents of Ramsey Street, for many the most exciting thing about the final episodes will be catching up with faces not in the photo above.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan will reprise their roles as Charlene and Scott Robinson, after more than 30 years away from Erinsborough.

Speaking to Inside Soap about re-recruiting the pair for the farewell, Neighbours' executive producer Jason Herbison revealed just how little persuading Kylie and Jason needed to get involved.

"They both appreciate the show and the special role that it has played in their careers," he said. "It's a lovely show of respect to Neighbours, and I was thrilled when they said yes. It didn't feel right to end the show without them." 

Jason went on to say that Scott and Charlene's return scenes are set to be "emotional". You're telling us mate. YOU'RE TELLING US!

"Scott and Charlene are the ultimate Neighbours couple and it would not feel right to end the show without them," Herbison said in a previous statement.

"We are thrilled that Jason and Kylie have come home to play a very special part in our series finale. It has been an emotional experience for them, for us and I'm sure it will be for our viewers."

No word as yet on whether we'll see a return for Bouncer - but stranger things have happened...
