The wait is nearly over for fans of Stranger Things as season four is set to hit Netflix tomorrow after three years off-screen.

Fans will finally be reunited with Hawkins and the gang as the new series catches up with them nearly six months since the battle at Starcourt mall at the end of season three. Struggling with the aftermath, the gang finds themselves separated for the first time after the Byers decide to leave Hawkins and take Eleven with them.

The group will have to navigate the minefield that is high school apart- not to mention they will be meeting a new enemy.

It was quite an explosive end to season three, and fans have been patiently waiting to see what else is in store for the Hawkins gang (and whether Hopper is alive!?) for a while now.

After three years away, Stranger Things will be dropping onto Netflix tomorrow (26 May) at 8am in the UK.

So, make sure you have your popcorn ready and a suitable sofa to hide behind when it gets too spooky.

It seems this season will also be worth the wait because creators of the show, Matt and Ross Duffer, have revealed it will be the biggest one yet.

Mat Duffer said: “[Episodes] seven and nine in particular are movies.

“And nine is a long movie.”

Although they were reluctant to give out any further details about the plot or just how long we can expect the episodes to be, they hinted episode nine will be “over two hours”.

Not only is it much bigger in length, but in budget too.

It was recently reported that each episode in season for cost a whopping $30million (£24.4million) to produce. In total, that would mean the nine-episode season cost around $208million (£209million) overall!

As previously mentioned, it’s been some time since season three of the series aired and you could be forgiven for forgetting some of the things that happened.
