Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning set to star together again after 18 years in new movie The Equalizer 3

It's been almost two decades since this talented duo shared a screen, but now Dakota Fanning and Denzel Washington are joining forces once again. The pair are set to star in upcoming action film The Equalizer 3 —  for the first time since their 2004 action-thriller Man On Fire when she was just nine.

According to Deadline, the actors will be reuniting on the big screen for the third instalment based on the 1980s TV show, set for release on September 1, 2023.

Washington will be stepping back into his Robert McCall boots which he first slipped into back in 2014 for the initial Equalizer which racked up £110 million at the box office.

The second helping in 2018 grossed more than £109 million worldwide.

The Oscar-winner told Collider at the beginning of the year about the movie, directed by Antoine Fuqua: "They have written the third Equalizer, so I’m scheduled to do that.

"So I gotta get in shape and start beating people up again. I get to beat people up again."
