It’s Ryan Gosling like you’ve never seen him before.

The Hollywood actor has sent fans into a frenzy after revealing the very first look at his turn as Ken in the upcoming Barbie live-action movie, Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig.

In the appropriately pink picture, Ryan sports a light-washed denim jacket, which barely covers his tanned muscles underneath.

Ryan has clearly gone all in with the transformation, which includes a bleach-blonde hair-do and ‘Ken’ monochrome underwear.

Looking truly plastic-fantastic, the star flashes a small smile with some vibrant pink lip colour, which would certainly get Barbie’s heart fluttering.

The first-look snap has sent the internet absolutely wild, with many fans flocking to Twitter to share the love.

One fan commented: “Yes hello, One front row ticket for the new Barbie movie please,” while another said: “Margot robbie and ryan gosling as barbie and ken just so iconic”

Even H from Steps is getting involved! He shared a hilarious meme of the now viral-photo alongside a 90s snap of himself after fans found a stark similarity in the eye-catching looks, blonde curtains and all!

The photo reads: “Ryan Gosling as Ken is giving series H from Steps! I hope the Barbie movie STOMPS the box office next summer (of love) cos it’ll be a TRAGEDY if it flops.”

H, whose real name is Ian Watkins, simply captioned the meme: “Spot the difference,” alongside several laughing emojis.

Ryan isn’t the only Ken lined up for the movie. Simu Liu and upcoming Doctor Who Ncuti Gatwa are also expected to play Barbie’s other half, and we’re just as excited to see their take on the iconic doll.

Back in April, we got our first glimpse of Margot Robbie in the titular role

In that adorable (and equally pink) photo, Barbie donned a spotty blue headband, matched with a vintage-inspired striped top and bracelet, while leaning forward in front of a pink stone backdrop.

The official synopsis on IMDb reads: “A doll living in 'Barbieland' is expelled for not being perfect enough and sets off on an adventure in the real world. A Live-action feature film based on the popular line of Barbie toys.”

Barbie will hit cinemas on 21st July 2023.
