Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne has returned home from hospital after he underwent major surgery, and he has given fans an update regarding how he’s doing.

Last week, Ozzy’s wife Sharon revealed on Talk TV's The Talk that her husband was due for an operation which would “determine the rest of his life.”

At the start of this week, the singer had surgery at a Los Angeles hospital, then, yesterday (June 15th), Sharon shared a statement on Twitter, saying: “Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery!”

She added: “Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery! Your love means the world to him.”

Whilst there are no details on what the surgery entailed, Ozzy himself has now taken to social media to reassure fans that he’s recovering.

Writing on Twitter last night, the singer and TV personality explained: “I am now home from the hospital recuperating comfortably.”

He continued: “I am definitely feeling the love and support from all my fans and send everyone a big thank you for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes during my recovery.”

Fans were quick to send their love to the Black Sabbath singer on Twitter. One wrote: “So ecstatic that you’re back home and on the mend! Stay strong Ozzy! We love you! God bless you! And now it’s time to get you that Knighthood!!!”

Someone else added: “Rock on you Legend!”

In May, Ozzy was spotted with a walking stick while visiting a recording studio. He has Parkinson’s disease and emphysema, and has suffered other medical issues after a quad bike accident in 2003 and a 2019 quad bike accident.

The legendary artist is set to drop his 13th studio album later this year and is also due to play his delayed No More Tours 2 UK arena tour, along with Judas Priest, in May and June of next year.
