Move over Tom Hardy and Idris Elba. Prince William could be diving into James Bond's boots if producers have their first pick.

Following 15 years of Daniel Craig as 007, rumours of the actor’s replacement has seen everyone from Bridgerton's Duke of Hastings to the Duke of Cambridge in the mix - and now HRH has been called ‘perfect’ for the job.

Bond franchise powerhouse Barbara Broccoli and her brother Michael Wilson were honoured with CBEs last week and shared their vision for the next royal Bond.

Barbara said that HRH ‘ticks all the boxes’. She told The Mirror: "Unfortunately, the person we just met isn’t available. He’s occupied, unfortunately, but he would be the perfect candidate.

"[He] ticks all the boxes. But he’s not available, sadly. So we’re still on the hunt."

Barbara recently said filling Daniel Craig's shoes was tough and described him as the ‘greatest actor on the planet’.

"It’s a big decision. It’s not just casting a role. It’s about a whole rethink about where we’re going," she said.
