Say it ain’t so! One of the iconic cast members of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! will be saying goodbye to the jungle ahead of the new series.

Bob McCarron, better known as Medic Bob, has been a staple of the Aussie-based series since it began in 2002, giving medical advice and assistance to the stars as they attempt to survive in the wild.

He famously rushed to help Gillian McKeith after she dramatically fainted, and helped remove a cockroach from the nose of Fatima Whitbread, and the ear of Harry Redknapp.

According to The Sun, Bob will continue to work on the German series of I’m A Celeb, and will continue to host a spin-off series where he travels around Australia.

The publication says Medic Bob will be replaced by another healthcare helper, but they won’t be seen on TV.

A source said Bob's schedule was just too too busy and something had to go, and “sadly that’s the UK version.”

They continued: “It’s unthinkable to imagine the show without Medic Bob."

A spokesperson for I’m A Celebrity told The Sun: “Bob will always be a friend to the show. We wish him all the very best and thank him for his hard work.”

As we say goodbye to one star, the I’m A Celeb crew are saying hello to I’m A Celebrity All Stars in South Africa

Beloved hosts Ant and Dec confirmed they will be bringing a selection of our “favourite celebrities from the last 20 years” together in a new place to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the hit ITV show.

Taking to social media to announce the news, the duo said: “South Africaaaaaaa! That's right, we're filming a very special version of I'm A Celebrity in South Africa which is coming to your tellies in 2023. 🤩 #ImACeleb.”

The pair joked it was the “worst kept secret in television” after rumours about an all-star series in South Africa started to crop up in April this year.

No returning celebrities have been officially announced yet, but according to a source from The Sun, we could be seeing the likes of Dean Gaffney, Amir Khan and Georgia Toffolo back facing bushtucker trials very soon.
