We still can't believe the world is without Dame Olivia Newton-John. Now, her daughter has spoken out for the first time since her passing about carrying on her mum's cancer fundraising work.

The Grease star flew the flag for breast cancer research after first being diagnosed in 1992, then again in 2013 and 2017.

After various health issues, the 73-year-old died in August this year when the cancer had reached stage four and spread to her bones.

Now, her only daughter Chloe Rose Lattanzi has promised that the ‘the torch has been passed’ for her to carry out her mother's hard work and continue to raise awareness for the disease.

The musician is teaming up with her cousin, Tottie Goldsmith, and taking part in Walk For Wellness - the charity event which raises money for the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre.

They posted a video on Instagram explaining: "We really want to raise awareness and get as many of you walking with us, or virtually. It is so important to raise awareness and raise funds.

"My mum’s dream was for kinder treatments to cancer, an end to cancer really. So, I feel the torch has been passed and this is my mission and my passion."

Chloe added: "Her dream was for kinder wholistic treatments for cancer, and to finally put an end to all the suffering cancer causes for countless beings around the planet."

Emotional fans commented: "Wonderful tribute to Olivia. She would be so proud."

Another commented: "Wow! She is so so proud ! What a team she has keeping her legacy and dream alive. I will be donating."

Chloe shared the information on September 26 - which would have been the star's 74th birthday.

She marked the day and wrote: "Happy birthday mama bear. This is who you are. A nature girl with the biggest heart. The most down to earth beautiful being I have ever known. I hold you in my heart forever. I will continue your mission. I love you mummy. Bigger than the whole universe. We used to say that to each other."

Continuing her mother’s legacy, she will also be joined by Dame Olivia's husband John Easterling, Dame Olivia’s brother, Toby, and Australian family members.
