Marvel has shared the first trailer for its upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special, and it sees the legendary Kevin Bacon introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The hour-long festive special, which is set to be released on Disney+ on 25th November, is set between Thor: Love And Thunder and 2023’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3.

The special episode will feature all of the main misfits from the Guardians movies, including Star-Lord/Peter Quill, who is played by Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista’s Drax, and Nebula, portrayed by Karen Gillan. The festive show will also feature Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Groot (Vin Diesel), Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Kraglin (Sean Gunn).

Oh, and Kevin Bacon!

In the trailer, which has just dropped, Drax and Mantis decide that, in order to cheer up Quill, who is still depressed after losing his love, Gamora (Zoe Saldaña), they will get him the perfect festive gift.

Mantis says: “Maybe if we go to Earth for a really wonderful Christmas gift, it would make him happy. Something special he will never forget.”

Drax suggests, “What about someone special?”

And so, they visit “the legendary Kevin Bacon” at his home and attempt to kidnap him. The trailer shows them force their way into his house and say, “You’re coming with us, as a Christmas present”. We then see Bacon leg it!

The festive special will also feature Cosmo the Space Dog, who is voiced by Maria Bakalova. She is best known for playing Tutar Sagdiyev in 2020’s Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.

The special will be directed and produced by James Gunn, who has helmed the previous two Guardians movies, and will also be responsible for the third film in the series.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special will be on Disney+ on 25th November. Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released in UK cinemas on 5th May, 2023.
